At the end of 2009, resplendent in its new attire, the Monte Carlo Beach joined the very closed circle of "Relais et Châteaux", the prestigious collection comprised of the world's finest hotels of exceptional character.
Proudly boasting a fifth star, it will re-open its doors on March 5th, 2010, for a season rich in events.
The ambitious wave of transformation initiated in 2008 has restored the hotel's legendary charm. Under the supervision of architect/interior designer India Mahdavi, the Monte Carlo Beach is embarking on a new era in the world of hotels.
Its 40 suites and rooms combine the sophistication of hi-tech equipment with the poetry of frescoes imagined by Matisse. Furnishings and decorative items have been custom-designed. The lobby, paved with marble, evokes spaciousness and transparency.
Façades tinged with crimson, gardens redesigned as far as the shore, pool surrounds newly embellished with polychrome mosaics… A real Renaissance, culminating in the creation of a spa : three treatment and massage booths of luxurious design , a hammam and exclusive La Prairie programs... The perfect expression of know-how signed Les Thermes Marins de Monte-Carlo !
Proposing a gourmet restaurant called "Elsa" in homage to the journalist responsible for the Beach's heyday in the Roaring 'Twenties, the hotel prides itself on generous and inventive cuisine - Riviera-style, of course -, concocted by the Chef and "Meilleur Ouvrier de France", Jean-Claude Brugel.
Everything at the Monte Carlo Beach now tells the tale of a newly-refound identity, complemented by a contemporary art of living expressed in a thousand different ways.
